As Diabetes UK’s leading charity, it’s our job to tackle the diabetes crisis. We’re here to prevent type 2 diabetes, campaign for and support everyone affected by diabetes, and fund research that will one day lead us to a cure.
This is an exciting opportunity for a young person aged 18-24 to co-design and deliver a series of wellbeing workshops for young people aged 13-24 with type 1 diabetes. These workshops will explore the Five Ways to Wellbeing and what these mean for young people with type 1. We are hoping to recruit people from across Scotland to deliver these workshops and to help us design and write the activities and session plans. This is part of our Youth Peer support project - Type 1 Youth: Connect, Support and Share, and you will be part of a wider volunteering team.
This volunteer opportunity is for young people aged 18-24 from all across Scotland. This project is part funded by National Lottery Community Fund, Mental Health Foundation, The Alliance and the Scottish Government.
