Young Leader (18-25) (West Midlands)

Opportunity image

This is an exciting opportunity for young people aged 18-25 with type 1 diabetes to shape and lead our work to support children and other young people also living with the condition. As a young leader you will be trained and supported to create supportive spaces where young people can chat together, raise issues, get involved and have fun!

We want to coproduce our plans with young people, but we know that some of the things we’ll be developing will include:

• Turning up the volume in our communications and social media so that young people’ voices are heard.

• Bringing young people together, online and in person, to share their stories, support one another, and to have fun.

• Creating new and exciting digital resources to support young people to live better with type 1 diabetes.

• Putting young people in front of healthcare professionals, to use their experience to improve care.

The West Midlands includes: Birmingham and Solihull, the Black Country, Staffordshire, Warwickshire/Coventry, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire/Telford and Wrekin.

ROLE CAN BE DONE ANYWHERE ACROSS THE MIDLANDS AND EAST OF ENGLAND
