Diabetes Community Ambassador (Glasgow)

Diabetes is a serious and complicated condition that affects over 300,000 in Scotland. We need you to help us to reach more people at a local level to raise awareness of diabetes. This will include providing information around how people might help themselves prevent developing type 2 diabetes in the future. You will also tell those already diagnosed with diabetes ways in which they might achieve remission. You will also be able to share information about Diabetes UK resources such as our benefits of membership, Learning Zone, Online Forums, Helpline and website.

We are working alongside Glasgow Life on this new project and if successful hope to offer support to others living with diabetes in Scotland through their local libraries.

This is a flexible role, and you can choose the time you are able to give. We may ask you if you can attend an event, we are aware of in your local library but you are always able to decline if you cannot attend.

We will tell you more about Diabetes Scotland in a one-day induction session before you start your role.
